Why I Built Glass | A Loan Mgmt. Software for Private Lenders

I started looking for loan management software for my own business a few years back. The cheapest option with the features I actually needed ran $700 to $1,000 a month. My business wasn't in a place where I could justify that. My budget was closer to $400.

That gap between what existed and what I could afford is what convinced me something was missing. Lenders needed a simple option, priced around $395, built for people who just want their loans managed well without paying for a bunch of stuff they'll never use.

What excel costs you before you notice

Most lenders start with 5 to 10 loans, tracking everything in excel or spread across a few different files. It works fine at first.

Then tax season hits and you're digging back through months of entries trying to reconstruct payment history. A payoff gets miscalculated. A payment gets missed because nothing flagged it. Every one of those mistakes costs time and money you didn't plan on losing.

So we built it for ourselves first

We built Glass for our own portfolio. Once it worked for us, we priced it at $395 a month and opened it up to other small and mid sized lenders ready to move off excel.

Who the other platforms are actually for

Most of the platforms already out there are built for institutional lenders running large servicing teams. Glass is built for the lender running lean — someone who needs solid origination and servicing tools without the enterprise price tag or the features that only make sense at a much bigger scale.

Two years in

Glass now runs loan tracking, draw schedules, payment tracking, and reporting for lenders who used to do all of it in excel. Same idea we started with. Priced for the lender managing their own portfolio, not the lender with a servicing department.

Glass is loan management software built for private lenders, starting at $395 a month. If you want to see how it handles your portfolio, book a demo.
